About Us

Our Story

Ann in a Jam started when my husband Brooks’ grandmother passed away and willed her canning pot to me. The pot sat unused in our basement until one snowy day at home I decided to make my first batch of jelly. That first batch was all it took for me to be bitten by the canning bug! More batches of jams and jellies followed and our shelves were getting crowded with jars. My mother in law suggested I try selling my creations at our local farmers market. It seemed like a great way to get some of the growing collection of jars out of our home and fund my hobby.

Four years and countless farmers markets later we moved into a commercial kitchen space and turned my hobby into a small business built from love and hard work. Though grandma’s canning pot has been retired from canning, we still bring it with us to every market to remind us of how we started and keep grandma’s memory alive.

Our jams are all made by hand in small batches with thought and care. Some of our products are fourth generation family recipes, some are created in love and tribute to special people in our lives, and some are just made to be delicious. We hope you enjoy what we’ve made and share them with the people you love.
